Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is a military first-person shooter that will continue exactly where Modern Warfare left off.

The story puts you in the middle of some of the most violent and psychologically difficult missions in the series. From the iconic No Russian airport scenario to the assault on the Russian prison, every mission feels like a real-life battle.

The gameplay runs on a fast mechanism. It takes almost no time to run, shoot, and cover. The single-player mode is roughly 6 to 8 hours long and never slows down.

Multiplayer includes classic modes like Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Search and Destroy on maps like Rust, Favela, and Highrise that COD players still talk about today.

The Spec Ops co-op mode sends you and a friend on a separate mission that is really harder than most of the other modes.

I tested this installation process on my Windows 10 PC with an Intel Core i5-8400, 8 GB RAM, and a GTX 1060. The game started on the first try, all missions loaded without any problems, and it played at a stable 60 fps on medium to high settings.

Common Errors and Fixes

Missing “MSVCR100.dll” or “MSVCR110.dll” error	Download and install the Visual C++ Redistributable 2010 and 2012 packages from Microsoft’s official site. These are required runtimes.
The game crashes after the Infinity Ward intro logo	Update your graphics drivers to the latest version. Outdated drivers cause this crash, especially during video playback at startup.
“Steam_api.dll not found” error	It is a common repack error caused by an incomplete extraction. Delete all extracted files, re-extract all game files, and try again.

What surprised me was that the MSVCR100.dll error appeared on my device, even though I had a fresh Windows install. Installing the Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable from Microsoft fixed it in under two minutes, and the game launched perfectly after that.
